Reservations

I used SPG.com website and booked Sheraton Lisbon (Lisboa) Hotel & Spa using rewards points at 10000 SPG points per night. Average rate for this time of the year (mid April 2018) was around 250 euros plus tax.

That is saving of 0ver $600, and if you calculate rate of the upgraded room, over $1200!!!!

 

 

 

 

Booking process is always a breeze no matter if you are using a SPG or Marriott.com site in the future. Immediate email confirmation of points deduction and reservation arrived in my mailbox, and I was set.

Arrival

My wife and I arrived at Sheraton Lisbon (Lisboa) hotel after short taxi drive from Lisbon international airport at around 12:30 pm. Tall, modern building in business and shopping city center of Lisbon (Lisboa) did not seem particularly welcoming from the outside, especially with multiple construction sites surrounding it. We were greeted by friendly bellman and escorted into lobby area. Our luggage was taken into a storage as a room was not ready upon our arrival. There was a large international accounting conference booked at our hotel, and place was sold out. This is were Sheraton Lisbon (Lisboa) hotel truly shines, through its associates. I cannot stress enough friendliness and helpfulness its associates. We were informed that due to my Platinum status I will be getting an upgrade and room will be ready in few minutes. Front desk associate then invited us to a lobby bar and offered complimentary cocktails. By the time we were finishing our drinks (less than 15 minutes) our room was ready.

Room and Club Lounge

After taking an elevator to top Club Lounge floor, we entered spacious Executive King Suite, with amazing views of Lisbon and Tagus river. Room was modern, with updated furniture and large bath and shower area. On the table hotel management placed a gift of 10 year old Tawny Port. Next to the bar was a Nespresso coffee maker. Our room was just steps from Club Lounge (complimentary access to Platinum Members) with breakfast and evening snacks served daily. Complimentary coffee, wine, beer and non alcoholic beverages were accessible all day (7am-11pm), with liquors and ports (complimentary as well) between 5-8pm. Again, service was outstanding.

 

Dining

Sheraton Lisbon (Lisboa) hotel offers number of dining options with most famous being top floor Panorama Restaurant, serving traditional Portuguese cuisine with touch of urban flavor. In Portuguese tradition, its open late, 7:30-11pm. If you want to take the views, but are not hungry, there is a Panorama Bar attached to the restaurant serving drinks and lite appetizers from 3pm-2am.
Lobby bar and lobby bistro provide other quick dining alternatives. Spirito Spa and Fitness Center As a full service 5 star hotel, Sheraton Lisbon (Lisboa) Hotel has a full service spa, fitness center and outdoor pool. ​The ultra-modern Spirito Spa covers a total area of 1,500 square meters and offers 8 treatment rooms, an outdoor swimming pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, hammam, chill-out areas, juice bar and the signature Sheraton Fitness. Guests staying at the Sheraton Lisboa Hotel have free access to all the Spirito Spa areas, except to the treatment rooms.
